Beautiful Historical Town — Honesdale PA

For visiting day we drove up from NYC to Northern Pennsylvania, where my son is at a overnight camp. On our way to Walmart we passed this small cozy town with beautiful historic houses and stores called Honesdale Pennsylvania in Wayne County.

On our way back from our Walmart trip we decided to stop off at the Central Park fountain and take in some of the beauty.

We saw some big trains and locomotives on display, celebrating The “STOURBRIDGE LION” as the first locomotive to run on a railway in America from Honesdale PA on August 8, 1829.

While walking around we saw a local woman caring for the greenery in the park, and started talking about the beauty of this town.

When we were about to leave, we saw her again, she told us that she noticed that we were Jewish, she wanted to tell us about the local synagoge that was built by the locals to welcome Jewish Merchants into the town. See photos below.
